Pie Makes You Happy
Say what?! Yes, pie makes you happy. You can’t be mad and eat pie. If you’re in a pie eating contest, you can’t lose because you get pie. And that’s why Awesome Pie Company was born – to pass along a smile.
The crust is a big deal
Pie crust is the biggest challenge pie bakers face. Everyone has the same basic recipe but it’s the technique used to bring it all together that makes all the difference. My crusts have become a big deal. Awesome Pie crusts are an all-butter, modified rough-puff pastry, layered with butter to create an amazing flakiness and pie flavors that are always surprising.
Ingredients you can pronounce
Here’s a challenge. Go to your local grocery store or big box store and take a look at the ingredients in their pies. There’s so many preservatives and other weird stuff that only a scientist could pronounce. But Awesome Pies are not like that. There’s nothing canned or frozen on my pies (unless it’s out of season fruit that i bought in season. I think a truly good pie should be made with good, fresh and simple ingredients.
